She was born in Wilmington, Delaware, on October 10, 1924, to Charles and Emma Gibbons, whom she joins in heaven, along with her siblings, Colwell Gibbons, Beryl Pelot and John Gibbons.
She lost the first love of her life, Gordon B. Thompson, in 1961.
She lost her second love, Roy P. Head, in July 2015.
She is survived by her daughters, April (John) Ritchie and Janie (Gene) Morrison. She is also survived by the "Great Ones," as she called them, her grandchildren, Natalie Coover, Tyler (Jenny) Ritchie, and Gordy (Monica) Ritchie; the "greatgrands," Alex, Addie, Graham, Brooke, and Crosby; and many nieces and nephews of whom she was very fond.
The greatest job of her life was her time as director of the Interfaith Community Services (formerly Northwest Interfaith Center). She began as the secretary for this organization in 1985 and later became the director. She retired as director after 14 years.
