- Jacqueline R. Arnold, age 85, of Wethersfield and a former resident of Chester and Deep River passed away on Monday afternoon, April 1st at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. She was the beloved wife of the late Lloyd S. Arnold, Jr. who predeceased her on January 1, 1984. Jacqueline was born February 25, 1928 in Berlin, New Hampshire the daughter of Roland and Florence (Phair) Rousseau. Jacqueline graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Middletown in 1946. Jacqueline and Lloyd resided in Chester and Deep River and retired to Sun City Center, Florida. Jacqueline returned north following Lloyds passing and resided for a brief time in Southington and has resided in Wethersfield for the past ten years. She worked as a telephone operator for over ten years at the State of Connecticut Veterans Hospital in Rocky Hill. She will be remembered for having a great love of her family, and as faithful and devoted catholic. Her hobbies included knitting and bunka. Jacqueline was a former long time communicant at Saint Joseph Church in Chester. She is survived by her children, Joyce Arnold, of Webster, MA, Christine Arnold, of Ridgefield, Ann Marie Ring and her husband, Mitchell of Concord, NH, Lorelei Sola and her husband, Christopher of Moodus, and Wayne Arnold and his wife, Tammy of Franklin, NC, her grandchildren, Patricia Goddard, Kenneth Blake, Jacqueline Sola, and Darcy Arnold, great-grandchildren, Craig and Jennifer Goddard and Evangelina Arnold. She also leaves her brother, Raymond Rousseau, of Eastham, MA, her sisters, Rita Satagaj, of South Windsor, and Doris LeClerc, of Vero Beach, FL. Jacqueline was predeceased by her granddaughter, Michelle Ring, and brothers, Paul and Armand Rousseau. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 5th from 9:00AM to 10:30AM at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home 34 Main Street in Centerbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM at Saint Joseph Church, 48 Middlesex Ave. in Chester. Interment will follow in the Centerbrook Cemetery in Centerbrook. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Hospital of Central Connecticut Development Office, 100 Grand Street, P.O. Box 100, New Britain, CT 06050-0100.
