Curtine E. (Pratt) Swanson, 90, of Old Lyme died suddenly at her home on Saturday, (March 21, 2009). Beloved wife of the late John E. Swanson. Born in Essex she was the daughter of the late Elliott P. and Elsie M. (Hayden) Pratt. Curtine worked for the Dept. of Motor Vehicles in Old Saybrook for 10 years, served as a volunteer fro the Hospice of South Eastern CT., was a member of the Old Lyme Congregational Church and the Elks Club in Westbrook. Curtine was known as "Auntie" to many. She is survived by her children; John and his wife Helene Swanson of San Mateo, CA, Norman and his wife Sandra of Old Saybrook and Linda J. Sundwall of W. Hartford, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and her niece Jill Hotkowski of Old Lyme. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Old Lyme Congregational Church. Interment was held at Duck River Cemetery. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Elks Emblem Club, 142 Seaside Ave. Westbrook, CT 06498 or to the Hospice of South Eastern CT, Box 902, Uncasville, Ct 06382.
