- Raymond B. Porteus, 86, of Brandon, FL, formerly of Southington, CT, passed away on Saturday, (February 5, 2011). He is survived by his wife, Edna "Pat"; son, Robert Porteus; two daughters, Sandra Porteus and Dorothy Breton; sister, Margaret Berggren; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. - Raymond and Edna Patricia Porteus, of Brandon, FL, formerly of Southington, were lovingly married for 70 years. Raymond passed away on February 5, 2011 and Edna Patricia joined him in heaven on April 20, 2018. They are survived by their children, Robert of Terryville, Sandra of Wolcott, Dorothy Breton and her husband Richard of Bristol; their eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Edna Patricia is also survived by her brother Earl Emmons of Valrico, FL. Raymond was born in Granby on July 19, 1924 and served his country proudly with the US Navy during WWII. He worked and retired from Stanley Works in New Britain. He loved gardening, fishing and making wood crafts. Edna Patricia was born in Hartford on February 22, 1928 and was raised in Windsor. She loved to help Raymond with his wood crafts, painting what he created, and hosting neighborhood cookie parties. A memorial service celebrating both their lives will be held at 10 AM Saturday, July 7 at the Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave Windsor followed by burial in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
