- Richard C. Comstock, 53, of Rte. 156, Lyme, died Saturday at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital. He was born in Middletown, on Nov. 24, 1950 son of the late Walter J. and Elizabeth (Bannister) Comstock Jr. He was a gardener and landscaper in the Lyme, Old Lyme area. He was talented in Music and the Arts, and loved animals of all kinds. He was a former EMT with the Lyme Ambulance. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Comstock of Old Lyme; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Cathy Comstock of Old Lyme; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth and Robert West of Westbrook, Nancy Desnoyers of Old Saybrook, and Sally and Ray LeClair of Norwich. He was predeceased by his son, Joseph Robert Comstock and his brother, Walter J. Comstock III. Funeral and burial will be private. No calling hours. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Lyme Ambulance 213 Hamburg Rd., Lyme, CT. The Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St., Centerbrook, CT is in charge of arrangements.
