- Alfred L. Desnoyers Sr., 63 of Goose Hill Rd. Chester, died Thursday at the Middlesex Shoreline Clinic. He was the loving husband of Nancy (Comstock) Desnoyers. He was the son of the late J. Donat and Leona (Duff) Desnoyers. He was born in Williamtown, VT on June 17, 1938.
Mr. Desnoyers was owner and operator of the Alfred L. Desnoyers Builders. He loved the outdoors, woodworking was his passion, and he loved walking on the beach and spending time with his grandson and family.
He will be deeply missed. Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Alfred L. Desnoyers Jr. of Chester; three daughters, Diana J. Desnoyers of Deep River, Michele Desnoyers of Westbrook, Sally Miller and her husband Charles of Deep River. Also survived by two brothers, Roger Desnoyers of Old Lyme, Roland Desnoyers of Chester; a grandson Noah Charles Miller; and a special friend Patricia Bennett of Westbrook. He is predeceased by a daughter, Bonnie Desnoyers; two brothers Richard and James Desnoyers; and a sister Madine Davis.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb 12, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Essex at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Centerbrook Cemetery in Essex. Flowers are welcomed and donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, 06492. The Swan Funeral Home, 211 Main St., Deep River in charge of arrangements.
