- Michele Ann Desnoyers, 43, of 324 East Pond Meadow Rd., Westbrook past-away Sunday, (January 23, 2005). Survived by her life partner Patricia Bennett. She was born in Middletown on February 11, 1961. Daughter of Nancy (Comstalk) Desnoyers of Old Saybrook and the late Alfred Desnoyers, Sr. Michele grew up in Chester, she graduated from Valley Regional in 1979 and Springfield College in 1997.Michele was the house manager for Sarah Seneca Inc. in Madison for five years. She loved spending time with her family and will be especially missed by her little nephew Noah. She was a passionate lover of animals. Michele was a gifted musician and an original member of Vic Malcarne's Deep River Drum Corp. She was involved in the Deep River Muster for many years, taught fife, played in the Deep River Seniors, Conn. Blues and the Conn Patriots. She spent her life caring for those with special needs and will be missed by her clients. Besides Patricia and her mom she is survived by two sisters, Sally Miller and her husband Charles of Haddam; and Diania Desnoyers and her partner Jermaine Davenport; a brother Alfred Desnoyers, Jr. of Old Saybrook and a grandson, Noah of Haddam. She is predeceased by her dad and her sister Bonnie. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 28, at St. John Episcopal Church in Essex. Family and friends may call at the Swan Funeral Home, 211 Main St., Deep River, Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. Burial will be at the Centerbrook Cemetery following the church service. Anyone sharing the love of Fife@Drum Tradition is welcome to join in playing at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Michele's name to the Sarah Foundation, 2488 Boston Post Rd., Guilford, CT 06437.
