- Passed away peacefully Nov. 20, 2005 after a long battle with cancer and other chronic illnesses at age 80. Preceded in death by parents Martin and Nellie Garrity (Geraghty); sister Agnes (Frank) Lunefski, brother Michael Geraghty. Survived by loving wife Lucille (Sally), sons John (Jane), Tom (Collette), Pat (Roxy), Kevin (Colleen); eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nine stepchildren with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John was a highly decorated WWII vet who was extremely proud of his Irish heritage. He loved the blarney! Private memorial and internment on Friday at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
