Daniel Lewis "Dan" Phelps, 89, of Bostwick, died Tuesday, September 24, 2002 at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born in Groten, Connecticut and had been living here for the past 27 years coming from Waterford, Connecticut. Along with his wife and sister-in-law, he ran two liquor stores in New London, Connecticut. He was a hard worker and prior to declining health he enjoyed gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sTeven and Emily Phelps and a daughter, Carol Phelps.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Adeline A. Phelps of Bostwick; a son, Dan Phelps, Jr. of Bostwick; a sister, Evelyn Agler of New London, Connecticut and a sister-in-law, Ida Dinoto of Bostwick.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Palatka Memorial Gardens with Pastor Ted Rodda officiating. No calling hours are scheduled. Masters Funeral Home of Palatka is in charge of arrangements. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd 26 Sep 2002.)
