- Mary Theresa (Nelson) Treannie, age 80, passed away Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at the Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Roberts and Bridget (Walsh) Nelson. Mary was born in South Boston, Nov. 7, 1932, where she was a 1950 graduate of Nazareth High School. She also was a graduate of Burdett College in Boston, Class of 1953. She and her husband John were married at the Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton, Oct. 3, 1954. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this coming October third. Mary was a stay-at-home mom and raised nine children at their home in Easton. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was the beloved wife of John Treannie; loving mother of John Treannie of Maine, Robert Treannie of N.H., Debra Butler of N.H., Michael Treannie of Easton, Thomas Treannie of Bridgewater, David Treannie of N.H., Edward Treannie of Maine, Timothy Treannie and Diane Treannie-Russell, both of Foxborough; sister of Kathleen Young of Weymouth and the late Joan Gaynor, Priscilla Nelson, Barbara Ralph and Roberta Pitts. Also survived by 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Calling hours Thursday, Aug. 22, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Marys Church, 58 Carpenter Street, Foxborough. Interment to follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
