    • Alfred B. Lewis Dies at Age 23
      Former School Ball Player, Vet of War II
      CAMDEN ? Alfred B. Lewis 23. World War II veteran, died at 10 a.m. today at his home on the River Road where he had lived for a year.
      He was born in Rome, March 1, 1923, a son of Alfred J. and Marian Ballard Lewis. On Aug 23, 1943, at Taberg, he married Harriet Kirby, Father Foley officiating.
      He was a member of St. Patrick?s Church, Taberg, a graduate of Camden High School, class of 1941, where he was pitcher for the school baseball team for two years; he was also a member of Meeker-O?Rourke Post, American Legion, Taberg, and a member of Taberg Fire Department.
      He entered service in January, 1943 and served 18 months in Europe. He had worked for Rome Manufacturing Co., since his discharge.
      Surviving besides his widow arte an infant son, Ronald, Camden; his parents, Taberg, his maternal grandfather, Edgar Ballard, Taberg; three brothers, and a sister, Edgar, Joseph, Elizabeth and Marie Lewis, Taberg.
      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick?s Church, Taberg, and interment in charge of B. A> Sanborn & Son, will be made in St. Patrick?s Cemetery.
