- Kay passed away on Oct. 19 2009 at Coquihalla Gillis House in Merritt. Kay was a long time resident of Kamloops North Shore. She was predeceased by her husband Maurice in March 1994 and her son Bruce in 1940. Kay is survived by her sons; Lorne(Joyce),Allan(Darlene),Brian(Wendy), six grandchildren and five great grandchildrene. Kay immigrated to Canada with her family in 1912. They spent some time in Calgary & Vernon before moving to Kamloops in the early 1920s. She enjoyed fishing, card playing and later in life the Kamloops ladies afternoon curling league which gave her great pleasure. Many thanks to the caring staff at the Coquihalla Gillis House for all their care and compassion shown to her during her stay.
