- Doris Elizabeth Clancy (nee Munro) of Napanee, beloved wife of Walter Clancy, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at the age of 74. Loving mother of Derek Clancy (Shelley) and Darcy Clancy (Amanda). Proud Grandma of Jacob, Megan, Simone and Nicholas. Daughter of the late Clifford and Effie Munro and daughter-in-law of the late Maurice and Gertrude Clancy. Survived by her brothers and sisters, Arnold Munro (Donna), Elmer Munro and Heather LePage (Gerry). Sister-in-law of Susan Munro, Margaret Jennings (late George), Irene Spike, Anne Powers (Jim), Michael Clancy (Nancy) and Gordon Meighan. Predeceased by her siblings, Laura Kellough (late Willard), Ellen Munro, Ray Munro, James Munro, Marion Brady (late Joe) and by her sister in-law Brenda Meighan. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Doris was a quiet, hard working and generous woman who was devoted to help and support others. She found great joy from her family. Doris cherished her 50 years of marriage to Walter and was immensely proud of Derek and Darcy?s accomplishments. She also treasured the opportunity to nurture and adore her grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for her kindness and unconditional, caring nature. The family will receive friends at the Paul G. Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main Street, Odessa, Ontario K0H 2H0 on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A family graveside service will be held at Willowbank Cemetery in Gananoque at a later date. Memorial donations (by cheque please) to the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family in memory of Doris.
