Much loved husband of Flossie Munro and dear brother of Gordon of Almonte and Douglas of Mississauga. Resting at the Gamble & Comba Funeral Home, 127 Church St, Almonte from 2-4 and 7-9:30 p.m., Tuesday and where service will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m., Rev. Jack Lougheed officiating. Spring interment Auld Kirk Cemetery.

Donald Robert Houston
A 35-year member of the Royal Canadian Legion Donald Robert Houston died at the age of 57 on Dec 21 after a lengthy illness. Mr Houston was also a long-standing member of the Mississippi Lodge, AFAM, Granite Chapter of the Royal Arch Masons Born July 13, 1924, in Almonte, he was a son of Harry Houston and Jean Mac Illingworth. He was married to Flossie Frances Munro on June 26, 1953 in Almonte. A communications technician with the Department of National Defence in Ottawa, Mr Houston served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in WW II in Canada and overseas. He had two brothers, Gordon of Almonte, and Douglas of Mississauga. Funeral service was held at the Gamble & Comba Funeral Home on Dec 23, with Rev J.A. Lougheed conducting. Remains were buried at the Auld Kirl Cemetery. Pallbearers included Clark LaRocque, Robert Houston, Donald Houston, Brent Munro, Levin James and Donald Drynan.
