Went home peacefully to her Lord on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital, just before her 85th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Collins (1980). Loving mother of Kathryn (Tom) McGrath, James (Nancy) Collins and Debbie (Randy) Laginskie. Cherished grandmother of Jason, Sara, Jessica, Amy, Ben, Crystal, Douglas and Colleen and great grandmother of Brody, Randy, Denton and Jack Dear sister of Shirley Cannif and Ross Palmer. Predeceased by siblings, Walter, Bernard, Louise, Madge, Norman, Douglas, John, Evelyn and Francis. Phyllis was a Bell Canada Pioneer.
Phyllis?s family will receive relatives and friends from 7 to 9 pm on Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Prayers will be recited at 9:50 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2012 then process to St. Anne?s RC Church, 268 East Avenue, Kitchener for the Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. to be immediately followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. Interment Pinecrest Cemetery, Ottawa at a later date.
