"Chuck^-Haihaway, 56, of- 7 Blizzard Road, died Sunday, May 31, after being stricken at his residence. Born June 26,1935, in Olean, he was the son of Hubert and Rita (Doran) Hathaway. He grew up in Tupper Lake, where he graduated from high school in 1953. He also graduated from Canton Agricultural and Technical College. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was a private civil engineer, having been involved with a number of regional construction projects, including the Adirondack Museum, the Big Tupper Ski Area and the Clifton County Mall. He
was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the
Mechanicville Elks Lodge, the Halfinoon,, Anie^can,. J-egion the Fraternal Order'pf-Eajjles and the National Rifle Association. Survivors include his wife, Jane
Hathaway of Waterford; four sons, John of Alexandria, Va., Mark of Stillwater, Matthew of Clifton Park and Thomas Perrigo of Clifton Park; a daughter, Patricia
Singley of Stillwater, and a sister, Shirley Sabatino of Mechanicville. Funeral services will be held in Mechanicville tonight at 7 at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home and in Tupper Lake Tuesday at noon at St Alphonsus Church, the Rev. Donald Manfred officiating.
Burial will follow in St Thomas' Cemetery. Local arrangements are being handled by the Richer Funeral Home.
