Obituary & Death Notice |
| Tony Brewer Tony E. Brewer VIRGINIA BEACH - Tony E. Brewer, 56, of the 2400 block of Barn Owl Court, safely crossed from earth to eternity in his home May 13, 2008. Tony spent many special and favorite times at his beach "home away from home" with Teresa in Carova, N.C. There, too, he was a familiar face and friend to many. Tony went about everything in his life, from work to relationships, with passion, compassion and perfection. His love for life, his smile and laughter were contagious. He will be truly missed but never forgotten by so many who have fond and loving memories of him and will forever celebrate his life. "What will matter is not how many people you know, but how many will feel a lasting loss when you're gone." Tony was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 36 years, Teresa Dawn Brewer; a son, David Brewer of Virginia Beach; his mother, Dorothy Holloman of Ahoskie, N.C.; his father, Jack Thomas Brewer of Albemarle, N.C.; a sister, Vicki L. Kassick of Virginia Beach; a brother, Steve Brewer of Charleston, S.C.; two nieces and nephews, Jason and Lauren Solomon and Christian and Maria Brewer, all of Virginia Beach. A celebration of Tony's life will be held Friday at 7 p.m. in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice.
