Notes |
- Carolyn Ruth Pearre Dec. 21, 1937 - Aug. 4, 2009 Carolyn was a native and lifelong resident of Bakersfield. She was surrounded by her family as she peacefully left this earth to be with God and family who have gone before. She graduated in 1955 from East Bakersfield High School. Carolyn spent many years as an Office Manager in the Medical and Oil Industries. But the occupation for which she may most be remembered was her many years as a Senior Home Loan Processor helping families qualify for home loans. Carolyn loved spending time in Pismo Beach and she could be found there several times a year with a book in hand. She was a voracious reader and never went anywhere without a book in her possession. She was a staunch Democrat who was an avid defender of rights for people and animals - especially her cats. Carolyn was such a warm and loving person who made all around her feel important and especially loved. Carolyn is survived by her mother, Velma Buerkle; Aunt Elizabeth Flood; daughter, Cindy Koepp; adopted daughter, Diana Herr; sons, Brian Koepp, and Greg Koepp and his partner Yvette Christy; brother and sister-in-law, Sandy and Brenda Chaddick; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Jack Murphy; adopted grandchildren, Maria, Kendyl, Kassidy, and Aleeya; nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous friends, and her beloved cat Blue. Family and friends are invited to come celebrate Carolyn's life on Saturday, August 15th, at 10:00 a.m., in the Chapel at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
