- Carl H. Lewis, age 88, of Bath, NY died peacefully at home on Monday, December 26, 2016. He was born in Wheeler, NY December 7, 1928, the son of Hildreth E. and Emma L. Miller Lewis. He was a Dairy Farmer, Potato Farmer, Truck Driver and worked for the village of Bath over his 70 years of working, along with working on his rentals. Mr. Lewis attended the Harvest Baptist Church in Bath. He enjoyed playing cards and taking winter trips to Florida with his wife. He was an avid gardener.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary A. Melnyk Lewis his brother Paul (Mary Ann Rice Lewis) and his parents Hildreth and Emma Miller Lewis.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen (Mike Miller) Lewis Perkins, son David (Philip A. Vandenbos) Lewis, sister-in-law Ann Uram; nieces and nephews, Harry (Penny) Lewis, Calvin (Diane Smith) Uram, Jim Uram, John (Bernadette) Melnyk, Nancy Melnyk, Robert Melnyk and Shirley Melnyk Houser and several great nieces and nephews.
