- Leland L. Clark, age 84, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Steuben Co. Health Care Fac. in Bath.
Leland was born February 25, 1929 in Cohocton, a son of Wardner & Alice (Wheaton) Clark. He was a graduate of Cohocton High School. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. Leland married Lois Wilson on May 13, 1952; she survives.
Leland was a former machinist at Gleason Works in Rochester.
He was a member and past commander of the Cohocton American Legion Post. He enjoyed John Deere Tractors and mowing lawns.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lois; his siblings, Arthur (Cecelia) Clark, Beatrice Beamish, Lydia Hagadone and Dewitt (Emily) Clark; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by 2 brothers, Elmond & Erie Clark.
Friends may call 2-4 pm Friday at the Walter E. Baird & Sons Funeral Home, 300 West Naples St., Wayland, where funeral services with full military honors will follow at 4 pm. Burial will be in the Village Cemetery, Wayland.
