- Louis Albert Fuller, Jr. (Lou or L. A.) 87, of Ft. Smith, AR went home to meet his
Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 7, 2018 in Ft. Smith.
Lou was born Jan. 27, 1931 in Ringwood OK. To Louis Albert Fuller, Sr. and Cora Alice Rose Fuller.
He was a graduate of Enid High School and attended college at Wichita State. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. During Louis active service, his ship, the Sarsi was struck by a North Korean mine and sunk at midnight. Louis survived 12 hours in the ocean clinging to a life raft. He believed God saved his life that long night before being rescued. After the Navy, Louis worked for Central Airlines, Frontier Airlines, and
Continental Airlines. With many moves in Louis life, he joined the local church that preached his favorite scripture, John 3:16; the gospel of Jesus Christ. Most recently that was Chaffee Crossing Community Church and Harvest Time.
He is survived by his son, Robert Louis Fuller (Susan), and his daughter, Karen Damron (David). Grandchildren, Daniel Fuller, Amy Fuller Hunt (Michael), Emily Damron Beaty (Jon) , John Damron, Allen Damron, Great grandchildren, Austin Hunt, Macey Hunt, Brooke Beaty and Lauren Beaty. And by the mother of his children, Mary Laffoon, his sister and her husband Mr. and Mrs. George Baskerville, his brother and his wife Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fuller.
Graveside Service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, June 13 at the National Cemetery. Viewing will be Tuesday from 9 am until 6:30 pm at Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel 4817 Kelley Hwy Fort Smith, Arkansas.
