- Rose A. Fleming, 83, of Mattydale, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at home. Rose was born in LaFargeville, NY where she graduated from the LaFargeville School system and had resided in Mattydale for the past 64 years. She was the daughter of the late Everton and Charlotte (Cook) Ayerst. Rose enjoyed camping with her husband and family at River Forest Campgrounds for many years and was a devoted communicant of St. Margaret's Church. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Max J. Fleming, in 2013 and by her granddaughter, Taylor Fleming, in 2011. Rose is survived by her six children: Maxine (Larry) Barber of Liverpool, Michael (Jackie) Fleming of Brewerton, Cindy Drew of Mattydale, Diane Teska of Mattydale, Lori (Mark) Brosh of Liverpool, and Dan (Michelle) Fleming of Cicero; a sister: Beattie Randall of Adams Center; and was Grandmother to 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Memorial donations in memory of Rose may be made to the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation, Attn: Sue Lomas, 200 Capri Isles Blvd., Suite 7F, Venice, FL 34292 or online at www.22q13.org. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd., Mattydale. A Prayer service will begin Friday, 9:30 am, at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret's Church, 203 Roxboro Rd., Mattydale. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery.
