- Curtis, James W. "Jim" Age 87 of New Port Richey, FL (formerly Brooklyn Center, MN) died peacefully at home April 16, 2009. Preceded in death by wife, LaVerne. Survived by second wife, Beatrice; children, Cheryl O'Konek (Joe), Nancy Curtis Hayes (John), and Michael Curtis (Sharon); five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. WWII veteran, loved and respected by all who knew him. Funeral Mass Fri., May 1 at 11 a.m. with visitation 1 hr. prior at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 440 Lake St. N, Big Lake. Luncheon to follow. Private interment.
