- Prindle, William Day, Jr. age 87, of Montevideo, died Tuesday. Services 1:00 PM Friday United Methodist Church in Montevideo. Committal with full Military Honors & Masonic Rites to follow at Sunset Memorial Cemetery. "Bill" grew up in Minneapolis and attended high school at West High. He was a graduate of the U of M Law School, including his J.D. Degree in 1942. United in marriage to Florence Jackson in Minneapolis on April 25, 1942. He served his country during WWII as a captain in the US Army in the 3rd Army 20th Corps Artillery, seeing action in the European Theatre of Operations. A recipient of the Normandy Jubilee Medal. He later was called back to active duty as a Major in the Army National Guard during the Korean Conflict preparing war crimes cases for the US government. Bill founded the Montevideo Law firm of Prindle, Maland, Stennes, Sellner, Knutson & Stermer. He was Chippewa County Attorney from 1954-1966. Member of the American Bar Assoc., American Trial Lawyers Assoc., the International Society of Barristers, Sunset Masonic Lodge #109 and the Kiwanis Club. Founder of Deuel Enterprises Inc. publishing company completing the 21st Century King James version of the bible and the Third Millennium Bible. Survived by wife, Florence; son, William (Kathleen) Prindle of Eau Claire, WI; daughters, Barbara ( Daniel Graff) of Minneapolis, MN, Mary (Joel) Lynne of Montevideo, MN and Carrie (Paul) Gervais also of Montevideo, MN; 7 grandsons.
