Peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, May 28, 2005 at the age of 74 years. Dear son of the late Hervé Guindon and the late Laura Wolfe. Loving husband of Dorelene Galloway. He will be sadly missed by his children Linda (Claude Laprade), Michael (Linda Desnoyers), Susan (Brian Cantle) and Christine (André Cazabon). He will also be missed by his grandchildren Julie, Christopher, Isabelle, Christelle, Joël, Kristina, Emily, Kaitlyn, Martine and Stéphanie; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and friends. He lives behind his brothers Philip (Therese) and Maurice (Suzanne); his sister Hilda (Jean Dorval). Predeceased by his Jocelyne. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Ottawa Hospital - General Campus on the 5th floor east and VON for their outstanding care and support. Relatives and friends are invited to Racine, Robert & Gauthier Funeral Home, 180 Montreal Rd., Ottawa (241-3680) on Tuesday, May 31st, 2005 from 7 to 10 p.m., on Wednesday, June 1st from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Memorial service will be held on Friday, June 3rd at St-Mathieu Church (3130 Gendron Rd., Hammond) at 11 a.m. For those wishing, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
