BARNETT, Shirley Peacefully and surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday September 6th, 2007, Shirley Barnett (nee Millar) of Cumberland, Ontario, at age 63. Beloved wife of Darryl Barnett. Daughter of the late Walter Millar and the late Dorothy Lough. Dear mother of: Stephanie (Allan Burns) and Kirk Barnett (Roxanne Johnson). She will be sadly missed by her 3 grandchildren: Levi and Mackenzie Burns, and Dalton Barnett. Dear sister of: Cecil (Cecile), Kenneth (Yvette), Marjorie (late Arthur Sharpe), Keith (Ingrid), Gordon, Boyd (Linda), Marilyn (John Griffith) and Heather (Ivan Tanner). She was predeceased by her brother John Millar. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses of the Ottawa General Hospital Hematology Unit and a special thank you to the ICU nurse "Pierre" for his care, compassion and honesty. Friends may visit at THEO BRUNET & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 2419 Laurier St., Rockland, Ontario on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday September 10th, 2007 at 11 a.m.. Donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre Foundation, 503 Smyth Road, Ottawa, Ontario K1H 1C4 would be most appreciated.
