Notes |
- James (Jim) Kenyon With no regrets but extreme sadness, the Kenyon family announces the passing of Jim on June 16, 2010 at his home in Regina at the age of 63 from a sudden heart attack. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of nearly 40 years, Lois, his son Chris (and Cindy) Kenyon and their boys Sean and Liam, and his daughter Pam (and Terry) Laycock and their girls Alexa and Ella. Survived by his mother Gertrude (and Rae), brother Allen (and Alys), sister Joy (and Al) Perro, sister-inlaw Pat, mother-in-law Kay Weatherby, brothers-in-law Sheldon (and Judy) Weatherby and Derryl (and Cherie) Weatherby and their families. Predeceased by his father John in 1991, father-in-law George Weatherby in 2000 and older brother Larry in April, 2010. Born April 30, 1947 in Manitoba to Gertrude and John Kenyon. Moved to Prince Albert in 1968 where Jim married Lois Weatherby in 1970. He worked as a draftsman for the city for 30 years. In 1998, Jim & Lois moved to Regina, where he worked for UMA/AECOM. Jim's pastimes included home improvement projects, snooker, wine-making, attending concerts and especially his season tickets to the Roughriders. Even with his quiet personality his sense of humour, generosity and faith in God were clear to those who knew him. There were many friends whom he treated like family. But he loved and was loved most as the best Husband, Dad and Grandpa in the world. Funeral service followed by reception will be held Tuesday, June 22 at 2:00 pm at Rosewood Park Church, Courtney Street (just N of Whelan Drive), Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
