- Camas, Wash.,
March 13 (Special)
Authorities Sunday recovered from the depths of Lackamas Creek here the bodies of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gallagher of Camas, trapped in their car when it plunged off the bank the night of March 4 as they were returning from a dance at Washougal.
Police, fearing foul play, had been seeking the couple, both employees of the Camas Paper Mill, the past week. It was not until three young Camas boys, out searching for scrap to aid in a war drive, noted an automobile bumper protruding from the creek that the bodies were found.
The sheriff's office Sunday night began an investigation when it was disclosed that an accident involving another automobile had occurred at the same spot at approximately the same time at which the Gallaghers were believed to have been killed,
In this second accident, the driver was reported to have said that the car with which he collided disappeared after the impact.
