Katherine Sarah Foster, of Plattsburgh, NY, peacefully passed from this earthly life into her Lord and Savior’s loving arms on Friday, January 22, 2021.
Katherine Sarah was born on May 17, 1957, in Van Nuys, California, daughter of the late Robert Eugene Danuser and Janet May Stillwell Danuser. She was a devoted Christian, loving wife and mother, and a mentor to many. She was a member of Pope Drive Baptist Church in Anderson, and has been a Women’s Bible Study and Ministry Leader with Life Actions Ministry and her husband’s church in New York, Bread of Life Baptist Church. Katherine Sarah became a registered nurse after receiving her degree from Greenville Technical College, specializing in neo-natal care. She attended Bob Jones University, receiving her Bachelors of Arts in Piano. Katherine Sarah was a natural artist. She enjoyed gardening, writing poetry and songs, and doing arts and crafts for her friends and family.
One of Katherine Sarah’s greatest joys was being a homemaker, a wife and mother. Most importantly, she loved to tell everyone about God and the goodness and mercy he has given her throughout life. A verse from the Bible that she often reflected on was 1 Peter, 5:10 (NASB), After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
Katherine Sarah leaves behind her loving husband of 34 years, Reverend David Foster; her son, Joshua Foster; mother-in-law, Renee Foster; father-in-law, John Foster (Betty); one brother, Matt Danuser (Sheila); one sister, Mary Liz Danuser; two brother-in-laws, Eric Foster (Teresa) and Kurt Foster (Louise); one sister-in-law, Ann Lungstrom; eight nieces, Emily, Hannah, Grace, Mariah, Bella, Mia, Abigail, and Danielle; six nephews, Josiah, Samuel, Elisha, Cory, Kel and Brad.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 26, 2021, from 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:45 p.m. in the Dillard Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Matt Danuser officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Flowers are accepted, however due to severe allergies, the family requests no lilies.
