Peacefully in Winchester Hospital on Monday, September 1, 2014, Margaret Mackie (Whyte) in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late David Mackie. Cherished mother of Shirley (Leonard Quinn). Marilyn (Les James), Glenn (Joanne McWilliams) Stuart and the late Darrell. Loving grandmother of Krista, Erin and Laurie Quinn and James and Heather Mackie. Daughter of the late Stuart Whyte and Merle Hill. Sister of Marion (Roy Spratt), John (Beverly), Helen Hope (Harry Rylaarsdam) late Murray Hope) and Eileen Stackpole (George Conlin) late Bill Stackpole). Sister-in-law to Marion (late Ray Herbert), Ruth (late Al Lafortune), Peggy (late Russell Scharfe), Donna Clark and the late Jean (Allison Fawcett), Madeline (late Ken Atherfold), Gerald (Bonnie Monahan) and Nicol (April MacNamara). Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, (6971 Bank Street between Scrivens Drive and Metcalfe Corner) from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral Thursday in the chapel at 1 p.m. Interment St. George's Hawthorne Cemetery.
