    Obituary & Death Notice
    Mrs. Thomas P. Jecks
    Mrs. Thomas P. Jecks
    MRS. THOMAS P. JECKS
Mrs. Thomas P. Jecks died at her home in this city Friday morning, Feb. 1, 1907, at 7 o'clock, after short illness pneumonia.
Mrs. Jocks' maiden name was Estelle M. Wright. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Wright, now living in this city. She was born at Stockton, Jo Daviess county, Ill., May 15, 1864, and come with her parents to Woodstock 1875. The was married to Thomas P. Jecks in this city March 3, 1886. Two children were born to them, Ellis P. Jecks, who is eighteen years old and Elsie L. Jecks, now six years old. Mrs. Jecks leaves, besides her parents, husband and two children, two sisters, Mrs. E. L. Landon of Rockford, IL and Mrs. John R. Pugh of Nunda, Ill.
The funeral was held at the Methodist Episcopal church Sunday afternoon, Rev. N. A. Sunderlin of Chicago officiating, assisted by the pastor, Rev J. W. Hackley.
The singing was by the Methodist choir. There was a wealth of floral offerings from neighbors and friends, as well as relatives, which told of the love which holds her memory sacred in the hearts of all who knew her. Her body was deposited in the family lot in Oakland cemetery.
Mrs. Jecks will be remembered as a kind and loving wife and mother, and a true friend and neighbor. Mr. and Mrs. Jecks had toiled hard to have a comfortable home, and only recently had they moved into their new house fitted with modern conveniences in which Mrs. Jecks took much pride and comfort, but in the very beginning of the enjoyment of it the death messenger called her away, leaving the home desolate, with a heart-broken husband and sorrowing children. In her dying moments she looked forward to that heavenly home where partings are no more, and the thought that they will meet her there comforts her bereaved parents and husband.
