SNYDER, Mahlon M. - Peacefully, on Thursday, October 18, 2007, at Heritage House, St. Jacobs. Mahlon Snyder in his 81st year, of St. Jacobs.
Beloved husband of Joy (Sittler) Snyder for 59 years. Dear father of Glen and Marg Snyder of Cambridge, Jane and Don Rumig of St. Jacobs, Michelle and Mark Fangrad of Waterloo, Randy and Amber Snyder of Waterloo, Rick and Diane Lane of Kitchener. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Donald and Brandon and Christopher Fangrad. Brother of Mabel Brubacher, Ruth and Elton Bechtel.
Predeceased by his parents, Ephraim and Louise (Martin) Snyder; two brothers, Angus and Lloyd and one sister, Almeda.
Mahlon was the owner of Snyder's Meat Market, St. Jacobs, for 32 years.
The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Saturday, October 20, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon, on Sunday, October 21, 2007, transfer will be made to the Calvary United Church, St. Jacobs for funeral service at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Drew Maxwell officiating, followed by interment in Calvary United Cemetery, St. Jacobs.
In his memory, donations to Canadian Diabetes Association or Calvary United Church building fund would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
