Douglas Jerome Bergman passed away suddenly at his home on April 4, 2023, at the age of 77. He will be forever missed by his devoted wife of 56 years, Sandy (nee Steffler). Loving father of Christine (Mark) Rose and Michael (Jacqueline) Bergman. He was a cherished Grandpa to Nick Rose, and Lilah, Evan, and Gracie Bergman. He was predeceased by his parents, Jerome Bergman and Mary Bergman (nee Sittler), his sister Marylou and his brother Bob. His siblings Barb, Joy, Joe, and Jennifer will also miss him.
Born in Heidelberg, Ontario and raised in Waterloo Region, Doug was an active member of his community, an avid golfer and a devoted Kitchener Rangers fan. Doug will always be remembered for his vibrant smile and welcoming personality. Doug's energy was contagious, and you immediately felt his warmth and sincerity in his presence. Doug was a friend to many and a family man through and through. His most cherished roles were husband, father, and grandfather.
A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Glencairn Church (725 Erinbrook Drive in Kitchener) from 3:00-5:00 PM.
