    ILLIG, Rita May - Died suddenly, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Saturday, January 12, 2008, in her 86th year, due to complications of a stroke. Beloved mother of Patricia Hammond and her husband Neil of Cambridge, Nancy Gannon and her husband Michael of Ayr. Loving grandmother of Kathy and Steve, Christopher, Courtney and Ian, Stephanie Joe, Andrew and Emma and great grandchild, Jack. Also survived by her brothers and sister, Douglas Holland and his wife Marg of Waterloo, Dorothy Golschesky and her husband Walter of Kitchener, Wayne Holland and his wife Karen of Kitchener. Predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Evelyn Holland; sister, Calvell Ward, sister, Durella; brother, Lloyd and sister-in-law, Edna Holland. Mrs. Illig was born on May 11, 1922 in Kinloss Twsp. Bruce Co. and has been a resident of Cambridge for over 55 years. At the request of Rita, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge on Saturday, January 19, 2008 from 1-2 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
