 | Pat Hammond HAMMOND, Patricia Ann (nee Illig) June 9, 1944 - September 7, 2014 Of Preston, Pat peacefully completed her life's journey at the Lisaard House on Sunday, September 7, 2014, in her 71st year. Beloved wife of Neil Hammond for 49 years. Cherished mother of Kathy Hammond (Steve) of Kitchener and Chris Hammond of Preston and daughter-in-law Sandra. Pat leaves behind her sister Nancy (Michael) Gannon and their children Courtney (Adam), Stephanie (Joe), Andrew. Pat had an extraordinary love for Neil's sisters and brothers Muriel (John) Garton, Helen Woods and the late Don Ganner (2008), Ray Hammond and Karl Hammond. Fondly remembered by her many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her great wealth of friends. Pat had a wonderful sense of humour and was very loyal to her family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Reta (Holland) Illig (2008) and Herbert Illig (2013). The family received friends at their Family Home, 631 Hamilton Street, (Preston) Cambridge, Ontario. A Celebration of Pat's Life was held at Knox Preston Presbyterian Church, Cambridge on Wednesday, September 10, 2014. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lisaard House, 990 Speedville Road, Cambridge, Ontario, N3H 4R6 or the Knox Preston Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 132 Argyle Street North, (Preston) Cambridge, Ontario, N3H 1P4 would be appreciated by the family and can be arranged through Heritage Funeral Homes, Palmerston, Telephone 519-343-3800. |
