Robert Stewart Simpson
KNOXVILLE - Robert Stewart Simpson of Knoxville, TN, was born on January 9th, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan and passed away on February 19th, 2023 at home surrounded by loving family.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents William and Gladys and brother Bill Simpson. He is survived by his devoted and beloved wife Rebecca (Becky) Simpson and his daughters Whitney Kilgore, Heather Simpson and Deborah Jiga; his grandchildren Jayden Jiga, Mackenzie Jiga, Chloe Kilgore, Bailee Goodman, Taylor Kilgore, Tyler Kilgore and many, many special friends.
Always an entrepreneur, Bob founded Southern Dental Metals and Simpson Marine Electronics. He retired in 2008. Bob had a big heart, a great sense of humor and a zest for life. He loved nothing more than spending time with the people he loved, listening to music, telling stories and laughing. His passions were numerous. He loved travelling and boating together with his wife Becky, family and friends. He and Becky were members of the Vol Navy at UT football games. In his younger years, Bob had a passion for vintage cars and fast boats.
His family extends their thanks to his doctors, Dr. Tony and Dr. Huff, and the team at Amedisys Hospice Care.
Family will receive friends on Friday February 24th, 2023, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Click in Farragut followed by a 2:00 p.m. Memorial Service at Click Funeral Home in Farragut.
