Monument located at the old Nipissing School. It was constructed in memory of the soldiers of WWI who gave their lives in the service of their country. During the war years, the women of the area had formed what became known as "The Soldiers Comfort Club" and various "comforts" were sent to the boys overseas. When the war ended, they, and the rest of the community were responsible for erecting this monument. |
