Billy Reese Zahn, 82, of Brazoria, Texas passed away Friday, February 26, 2010 at Bay Villa Nursing Home in Bay City. He was born September 1, 1927 in Crane, Texas to Henry Joe and Ella Vera (Stasney) Zahn, he was a member of First Assembly Church of Brazoria.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday February 28, 2010 at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia with Pastor Ron Hogan officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 1, 2010 at Dilley Cemetery in Dilley, Texas.
Serving as Honorary pallbearers are Lynn Gillespie, Kelly Gillespie, Kevin Smith, Donnie Smith, Ricky Smith and Jay Grizzel.
Billy is survived by his son, Billy Michael Zahn of Brazoria; brother, Jerry Voyd Zahn and wife, Marinell, of Gladewater; sister, Ella Jo Adams of Allen, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Alpha Mae Zahn; daughter, Virginia Mae Zahn, and brothers, Henry and Floyd Zahn.
William married Alpha Mae Bess in 1948. Alpha (daughter of Duncan Eve Bess and Gladys Zenora Banning) was born on 21 May 1929 in Los Angeles County, California, USA; died on 22 Aug 2008; was buried in Dilley Cemetery, Dilley, Frio County, Texas, USA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
