Ethel A. Bartman Reneson, formerly of Frissell Street, Middletown, died Wednesday at Middlesex Hospital. She was 87.
She was born in Middletown and had worked at Bielfield School.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Reed and Dorothy Skinski, both of Middletown; a brother, John Bartman of Titusville, Fla.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Her husband, Bruno Reneson, died previously.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Calvary Cemetery, Bow Lane, Middletown. There will be no calling hours. Biega Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

John R. Bartman, 79, of Oviedo, Florida, husband of Elizabeth "Betty" (Human) Bartman, passed to his heavenly home on December 2, 2012 at the Lutheran Haven Nursing Home in Oviedo, Florida. John was born October 8, 1933 in Middletown, CT, the son of John and Isabell (Abbey) Bartman. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement, he was the owner of the Prospect Glass Company, where he worked as a glazier.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children and three grand children. He was predeceased by a brother and a sister.
Graveside services with military honors will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 11:00 A.M.at the Cove Cemetery in Hadlyme, CT. Those who wish may send memorial contributions in John's name to Lutheran Haven Foundation.
