Frederick D. Banning of Westbrook Road, Essex, died Saturday at home. He was 67.
He was a former member of the Essex Fire Department. He retired from R.R. Donnelley's & Sons, Old Saybrook, after 30 years. He was the owner of American Heritage Antiques in Essex.
He is survived by his mother, Kathryn Lee Banning of Essex; two sons, Darren Banning of Richmond, Va., and Steve Bogan of Essex; a daughter, Autumn Banning of Manning, S.C.; a brother, Dennis Banning of Hartland, Vt.; and four grandchildren.
Calling hours are at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St., Centerbrook, Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in Centerbrook Cemetery. Dennis Banning Sr., a former resident of Bountiful, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at home in Albuquerque, NM. Dennis is survived by his three sons, Robert, Dennis A., and Sean; three grandchildren; and his brother, Robert Wilkinson of Alexandria, VA. Dennis was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and railroad enthusiast. Memorial services were held at John XXIII Catholic Community Church in Albuquerque, Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005.
