    Funeral service for Viola Mae Hargis, 86, of Wichita Falls, Texas, and formerly of Grandfield, Oklahoma, will be at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Gray Funeral Home Chapel, Grandfield, Oklahoma, with Rev. Micky Miller, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.
    Mrs. Hargis passed away on January 23, 2016, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
    Burial will be at Grandfield Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gray Funeral Home.
    Viola was born on February 17, 1929, in Lexington, Oklahoma, to Sam D. and Ida E. (Banning) McCafferty. She grew up in Paoli and later moved to Burkburnett, TX, where she graduated from Burkburnett High School. She married Glen William Hargis on February 14, 1948. They were married for 60 years and lived their entire married life in Grandfield. She worked for Tomlinson's, Kirkland's Department Store, and Robbie's Hallmark. Viola enjoyed traveling with her husband and was very devoted to her family. She loved spending time with her grandsons. Viola attended First Baptist Church in Grandfield.
    She is survived by her sons and daughter in law, Ronnie and Pat Hargis of Yukon, OK, and Ray Hargis of Wichita Falls, TX; her grandsons and their wives, Michael and Rochelle Hargis of Minneapolis, MN, Joshua Hargis and Tyler Hargis, both of Yukon, OK, and Marshall and Ashley Hargis of Weatherford, OK; and her great grandchildren Jolie Hargis, Max Hargis, Hunter Hargis, and Sam Hargis.
    Viola is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Ida (Banning) McCafferty; her husband, Glen Hargis; an infant son in 1949; and a grandson, Jason Hargis in 1977.

    Viola married Glen William Hargis on 14 Feb 1948 in Wichita Falls, Texas, USA. Glen was born on 10 Oct 1921 in Grandfield, Oklahoma, USA; died on 15 May 2008 in Burkburnett, Texas, USA; was buried in Grandfield Memorial Cemetery, Grandfield, Tillman County, Oklahoma, United States.
