Joyce Jolly, age 89, of O'Fallon, died at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home in Lebanon.
She was born March 24, 1924 in Bury St. Edmunds, England, the daughter of the late Frederick and Beatrice (Last) Footer.
She is survived by five children: Jennifer Gallagher of Warner Robbins, GA, Jeanette (Bob) Murphy of Granger, IN, Steven Jolly of O'Fallon, Lynn Joyce (Bill) Wilson of Johnston, IA, and Matthew (Lettie) Jolly of Belleville; 10 grandchildren: Erik, Janesse, Julian, Jared, Jacqueline, Luke, John, Tracy, Chris, and Brian; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Todd Brand; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Jolly; and eight briothers and sisters.
Ms. Jolly was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading and watching television.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Kalmer Memorial Services, on US Hwy 50 between Lebanon and O'Fallon. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation. Following the funeral service, her remains will be cremated and her ashes interred at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Belleville.
