Richard "Dick" Everett, 75, of Ledge Rd., Seekonk, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family Sunday evening, May 3, 2015. He was the husband of Gail (George) Everett.
Born Feb. 24, 1940, in Providence, he was a son of the late Harry G. and Audrey Frances (Erhardt) Everett. Dick served with the US Air Force as an aircraft mechanic from 1959 until 1962. He was an avid gardener and loved wood working. Dick was happiest when he was in his backyard garden surround by family and riding his tractor with one of his grandchildren on his lap.
In addition to his wife of 54 years, he leaves his 3 children and their spouses, Brian and Deborah Everett of Seekonk, Lisa and William Sheehan of Attleboro and Tracey and Jason Smith of Mansfield; his 8 grandchildren, Kelly, Katie and Holly Everett, Nicholas, Ryan and Evan Sheehan, and Emily and Owen Smith; his sister, Edith Dewey of No. Attleboro; and his brother, Harold Everett of Florida.
His funeral will begin Thursday at 8:45am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Taunton Ave., Seekonk. Military honors and burial will follow at Mt. St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5pm until 8pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are greatly appreciated to the Community VNA Hospice.
