Herbert H. Willey Jr., age 86, of Preston, passed away on January 12, 2012 at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich.
He was born on January 22, 1925 in Norwich, CT to the late Herbert and Margaret (Connors) Willey. He married his loving wife Brendalee (Denzel) Willey on December 7, 1989 in Norwich.
Besides his loving wife, Herbert is survived by a son Thomas Willey of Plainfield, sons Hebert Willey III and Jay Willey of North Carolina, a daughter Gail Beauregard and her husband Roy of Preston and a son Antonio Barnhill of Preston. He also leaves behind a brother Robert Willey of New Jersey, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by a son William Gunkel, a granddaughter Jennifer Willey and a brother Richard Willey.
Family and friends may visit Church and Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. immediately following the calling hours.

Richard Neilson Willey, 83, of Huntsville passed away on Monday at Floyd E. "Tut" Fann Home for Veterans.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Huntsville chapel of Spry Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
Richard moved to Huntsville in 1963 and worked as an aerospace engineer. He later became a business owner of Mister Donut. Richard also owned several rental properties.
Richard is survived by his wife, Elsie Herter Willey; his children, Richard Nielson Willey Jr., Kathryn Cook and Ethan Allen Willey; his twin brother, Robert Willey; brother, Herbert Willey Jr.; and grandchildren, Daniel Scott Wheeler and Andrew Mitchell Cook.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson's Support Group of Huntsville.
