Elmer Foster - Passed away peacefully in Almonte on March 1st at the age of 86.
Many cherished years spent trucking and back-hoeing in Almonte and surrounding area.
Beloved husband of Joyce for 58 years. Elmer was the youngest of 6 to Ernest and Jean. Predeceased by brothers Boyd, Melvin, Eric, Carl and sister Edna. He will be greatly missed by daughters Norma (Martin) Richards, Lorna (Shawn) McElroy, Eleanor (Rod) McLean, Doreen. Proud grandfather to Daryll (Jenessa), Deanna (Duncan), Tina, Mitchell (Brianna), Jodi, Emily (Gareth), Mikayla and Chloe (and their Dad Bob). Great-grandfather to Laska, Eden, Haylyn, Willow, Ivy, Raine, Rogan and Ash. He will be fondly remembered by many friends.
Funeral will be held at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home & Chapel, 19 McArthur Ave., Carleton Place with visitation Sunday, March 5th from 1 - 3 pm and Monday, March 6th from 11 am -12 noon with service to follow at 12 noon . Refreshments to follow the service. A graveside ceremony will be held in the spring.
