  1. 1.  Carrie Lee was born on 10 Apr 1893 in Tatlock, Ontario, Canada; died on 26 Feb 1977 in Perth, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Clayton United Cemetery, Clayton, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.

    Notes:

    Mrs. Carrie King, a life-long Lanark County resident, passed away suddenly but peacefully on February 26, 1977, at the Lanark Lodge, Perth, in her 84th year. Carrie (Lee) was the daughter of the late William Lee and Adeline Munro. She married the late William J. King, who was also a well-known resident of Lanark County. Mrs. King is survived by her only daughter, Addie (Mrs. Randolph Elliott) of Almonte and predeceased by her son Albert. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A life-time resident of Lanark County, Carrie was born in 1893 at Tatlock where she received her education and became a member of the United Church. She and her husband spent most of their married life farming in that community. Later she spent many years in Lanark where she worked for some time in the Glenayr Mill. Before becoming a resident of the Lanark Lodge, Carrie lived for several years with her son, Albert, in Lanark and later with her daughter Addie in Almonte. Her five years spent at Lanark Lodge were happy and active ones. Carrie acquired a great interest and talent for painting and will be lovingly remembered by the many recipients of her work. In her home at the Lodge, she had many friends among the staff and residents for whom she had great affection. The funeral was held on Monday, February 28, at the Young Funeral Home in Lanark. The service was conducted by Rev. Ron Reid of the Pentecostal Church in Perth. Interment will be in the spring at the United Cemetery in Clayton. Carrie will be greatly missed by many friends both young and old. She was most understanding with younger people and was known as "Grandma" to many young folk. Known for her kindness and generosity, Carrie will be long remembered by relatives and friends alike.

Beloved wife of the late Randolph (Dolphie) Elliott. Dearly loved mom of Georgina Blair (Ron) of Pakenham, Ollie Orr (Walter) of Lindsay, Joan Somerton (Lynden) and Diane Brown (Art) both of Almonte. Predeceased by a daughter; Greta Barr and 2 sons; Merrill & Laurie and a brother; Albert. Cherished and much loved grandma of 26 grand- children, several great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by Dianne & Marilyn Elliott; and Don Eriksen. Friends may call at the C.R. GAMBLE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 127 Church Street, Almonte for visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and where Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment Guthrie United Cemetery, Clayton, ON. Donations in memory of Addie may be made to the Almonte General Hospital, Fairview Manor Building Fund and would be much appreciated by her family.

    William passed away peacefully at the Great War Memorial Hospital, Perth, on Monday, May 15, 2017. Bill was in his 73rd year.
    Billie was predeceased by his father, Albert and brother in law, Don Wakeling.
    From a young age, Billie knew that he wanted to work with his hands, even if it meant they got dirty, as an automotive mechanic. So he completed the required courses and apprenticeship in Ottawa; as a result, Billie started up his first shop on Lombard Street, Smiths Falls, in his forties. He enjoyed his career working in several other dealerships and garages throughout Lanark County, also.
