Virginia E. Popp
Virginia E. Popp, 82, of 201 Pleasant Ave, East Syracuse, died Saturday at Francis House.
She was born in East Syracuse. She was a graduate of East High School and Central City Business institute and attended Syracuse University. She retired from Syracuse University Research Com, and previously worked at the Syracuse University College of Engineering. She was a member of Firs United Church of East Syracuse, where she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Parish Council and the Workshop Committee. She was a member and past matron of Fayetteville-Onondagu Chapter 144. Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of Ilderim Temple 15. Daughters of the Nile.
A son, Thomas, and a daughter, Sharon Popp. died previously.
Survivors: Her husband of 62 years, Floyd C.: a brother, Stewart Lee of East Syracuse.
Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday in First United Church of East Syracuse, Burial, Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours, 4 to 8 p.m. today at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James SL, Syracuse.
