St Nicholas' Church, Colchester, Essex
The church, here at least by the 12th century, contained Roman walls in its foundation. The church was rebuilt in the 14th century, again in the 1870s, and finally razed in 1954, making way for a large Co-op store. Four bells from St. Nicholas have been installed at Basilden.
