PAULD. DAVIS
IPSWICH, Mass. - Paul D. Davis, 47, of 66 Lakemans Lane died Sunday afternoon in the New England Medical Center in Boston after a brief illness. He was the husband of Maryanne (Cimonetti) Davis.
He was born in Somerville on Jan. 26, 1933, the son of Floyd P. and Ruth (McQuatte) Davis. He graduated from Wilmington (Vt.) High School in 1951 and shortly thereafter enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving as a flight engineer for 22 years. He retired in 1973 as a chief petty officer and graduated from the University of Southern Maine the following year. At the time of his death he was employed at General Electric Co. in Lynn.
Besides his wife, Mr. Davis leaves three sons, Thomas, James and John, all at home; four daughters, Mary, Katherine, Susan and Jane, all at home; three brothers, Philip of Wilmington, Vt., Donald of the State of Washington and Norman of Florida; and a sister, Katherine Widness, also of Florida.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Blake & Carleton Funeral Home, 45 North Main St., Ipswich, followed by a con
celebrated Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of St. Joseph at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are this evening from 6 to 9.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Davis's memory may be made to Church of St. Joseph or a charity of one's choice.
