Viola Talmadge
Viola Brockway Talmadge, of Virginia, formerly of Branford, died Saturday November 29, 2014. Viola was born in Essex, CT, March 17, 1926, daughter of the late Henry and Edith Green Brockway. She was a former member of the First Congregational Church of Branford.
Viola is survived by her children, Charlene Massey (David), Edith Vailette-Northam (John), Charles W. G. Talmadge, III, Douglas N. Talmadge, Gregory H. Talmadge (Robin), Craig G. Talmadge (Linda), and Todd N. Talmadge (Hillary); her brother Robert Brockway; 19 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Kuropat, and her brothers, Newell, Russell, and Marvin Brockway, and her former husband, Charles W. G. Talmadge II.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, and are invited to a funeral service Friday morning at 10:00 in the First Congregational Church of Branford. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven.
